About Untitled Empyrean

Untitled Empyrean is a small instalment in Rebecca Yarros’s Empyrean series, following Fourth Wing, Iron Flame and Onyx Storm but released before the official Book 4 and Book 5.

Set to be released on September 29, 2026, this is a smaller book, with just 179 pages, making it a novella type instalment. Currently, there is no information on what this book is about. There are theories that this will be an an anthology of in-world writings drawn from the epigraphs of the series, collection of laws from the Codex, The book of Brennan or actual parts of the series.

Given that this is an interim book that it’s not meant to be a bridge between Onyx Storm and Book 4, it is reasonable to believe that we should expect an anthology of sorts.

While many believe that this is going to be The Fables of the Barren or the The Book of Brennan, I personally hope for MAJOR RORILEE’S GUIDE TO APPEASING THE GODS. I am most curious about the Gods in the book and I would love this as our novella.

We currently do not have an official cover and an official title. We should expect these fairly soon.
