Major Varrish, in Iron Flame, reports directly to Colonel Panchek. Panchek is present when Solas, Varrish’s dragon, burns the third year cadets.

    Is Commandant Panchek (as he is called in Fourth wing – Chapter 4) a mute? In chapter four just when the assembly is about to being Violet say, ” Commandant Panchek starts with a politician’s smile, gesturing to us. The guy has always talked with his hands.”

    I’m currently re-reading and did not notice this the first time around. Somebody help!!

      He is not a mute. He speaks, but he also gesticulates a lot. That’s what I get from that paragraph.
