The best actress for Violet - and you can't convince me otherwise

If you haven’t been on Insta recently, maybe it’s time to check out Amy Poehler’s podcast with Maya Hawke. Maya talks about Fourth Wing and how much she loves it. And for the first time, I see Maya… I see her.

Hear me out. She’s blonde. She has blue eyes. She has freckles. Want to know something even crazier? She’s the daughter of Uma Thurman. Kill Bill Uma Thurman. Badass forever Uma Thurman.

What does that give you? Violet… with her mother, General Lilith Sorrengail. Omg, imagine Maya in black leathers, her hair in a crown braid. Ladies (and gents), we’ve been fixated on the wrong actors all this time. Maya is 27 — perfect for playing a Hollywood 21-year-old. In fact, she looks young anyway.

We already know she’s a fantastic actress — Stranger Things, come on. She’s freaking perfect.

Rebecca Yarros even said “I see you”, Maya, in her last Insta story. I hope she really does see her — for who she needs to be: Violet.

Now, we know many of you want the cute Renesmee from Twilight to be our Violet. Mackenzie Foy said in an interview that if Rebecca Yarros calls, she’ll be there. Mackenzie was fantastic in Interstellar and The Nutcracker. She’s adorable and has that innocent face. But for whatever reason, I’d never looked at Maya Hawke before and thought… hey, she could be Violet.

What do you think? Time to add her to our fan cast?

Share that Venin and Wyvern are real!

  1. She’s too old, she’d be in her mid thirties by season 5, when Violet would still be in her early twenties. She’s WAY too tall, almost 20 centimeters taller. She isn’t fragile either. Unless you want to change literally every single physical element of Violet and what makes her who she is, this is the craziest fancast I’ve ever seen, lol. She’d make a great Mira though.
