Would you rather…

Would you rather – Turn into Violet Sorrengail and live her life starting from where the book begins. (You can change some things in your life, but like most time travel movies there are fixed points that you have to live through)(You will have no recollection of the book(s), but you will retain your knowledge of other things as well as gaining hers)

Or – Turn into a randomly chosen dragon (colour and tail are random chosen, regardless of rarity) (When you are ‘grown up’ and can bond the timeline from fourth wing starts so you won’t miss anything. You can’t bond with any major characters,)

As a man this way sounds a bit weirder, but I’d choose to turn into Violet. I feel a strong emotional connection with her and I feel I can play the part. And mostly I’d have accomplished a dream that many others have had – literally get sucked into a book and get to live the life of (one of the) protagonists.

Dragons are cool, but I have no interest in living for hundreds of years and having my bonded die a few times. No wonder Tairn is so cranky all the time.

It doesn’t sound weird to me. It’s totally ok to feel connected with a woman protagonist. The number of times we connect with men protagonists…pftiu!! This was a thing before bas ass women protagonists became a thing.

I think it’s super damn difficult. I have 100% chances of turning into Violet and knowing exactly what I’m getting myself into. Plus Xaden, right? Seems like a greaaaaaat side effect 😛

OR turn into a dragon. There are 7 breeds which means I have a 14.2% chance that I turn into an Orange. In fact even more if we take into account the odds of how rare the other dragons are. In the interest of not turning this into a nerd statistical calculation, I’m going to shut up now and say Violet.

I agree with Cory. Not weird at all that you choose to be Violet, which is, btw, my choice, too. I’m a fiction writer (not published but it’s a major hobby for me), and I have to get into the heads of my male characters all the time. It’s fun and I’m surprisingly good at it, I am told. So go for it Raffaello. And thanks for a provocative choice here. I’d like being a dragon too.
