Debunked: Violet’s only killed Venin

I’ve heard a lot of theories around Violet’s purity as a warrior as she has only killed venin…but what about the infantry that attack her and Eya on their watch duty?? I’ve triple checked that chapter in IF and there is no mention of red rimmed eyes.

Does that mean the theory is debunked? Anyone care to share their thoughts? 🥹🤗

This is the only reference I have found. Technically, no mention of anyone dying, but being stabbed in the throat and heart could be fatal.

The one on the left blinks in surprise.

“It’s not as original as you’d think.” In rapid-fire, I flick two daggers

at him, catching him in the throat and heart. Eya shouts behind me,

charging at the two on her side as my first attacker falls like a damned

tree, crashing into stone and driving my daggers deeper.

Later in the same chapter HC 280:

“My shoulder takes the brunt of the impact when I fall, and I grimace as I force myself onto my knees, ignoring the wide, unseeing eyes of the soldier I’ve already killed.”

Late here but I suppose we can all assume they were Aetos’ minions right? And given that the first one had rimmed red eyes, then we got introduced to the elixir a bit more, I suppose we are learning that they are venin…just “hidden” under the elixir?

Hmmm…yeah I could dig that. 😉 I guess because everyone else with red-rimmed eyes was mentioned? I assumed that only those mentioned were…”classified” as venin without being named venin? So when people were going on about her kills I was like wait wait wait…what about no name infantry over here doing it for the money? 😅🤣

I have another one btw. Do you remember when she (and Eya) were attacked by the infantry? Like…were they also venin?

My thoughts exactly – no mention of red-rimmed eyes and I whole heartedly believe there would be murderous assholes like Jack Barlowe on parapet in the infantry too. Remember he wasn’t always venin so there’s a chance the infantry weren’t either.

This means there are many venin everywhere. Which gets me really worried about “the dragon vouched for them” when they arrived in Aretia. That is BAD news!

    She killed Varrish… he wasn’t a venin
